Our Beginnings
Originally founded in 2014, and bootstrapped funded Spica was named after the brightest object in the Virgo constellation, a star system in its own right with two stars that continually orbit each other without eclipsing one another. Together they shine brighter.
Our first ever solution Healthy Water came about from co-founder Paul Collins encountering a manual process for testing water systems for Legionella that was processed in an outdated way that could benefit from a digital software solution that would improve safety, accuracy and efficiency.
Together co-founders Tim Streather, Paul Collins, Ben Williams alongside Product Director Lynda Gillson and Client Technical Director Paul Jones have gone on to bring to market solutions like Workspace, Smart Cleaning and more.
In 2022, strategic acquisitions by the Nordomatic Group, brought together innovative tech from Spica, Ecopilot, Styrportalen and Yanzi to become Spica, the “SmartCloud” division of Nordomatic who focus upon cloud management of BMS, workplace experiences and energy. We make tech for smart places and people.
