SPICA is a specialist IOT Solutions Provider that uses a combination of technical assets, hardware (sensor devices), software components, and IOT integration expertise to help businesses capitalize on the opportunity that the Internet of Things represents.
Ultimately, we want to raise the profile of IOT solutions, and for IOT to become a de facto tool that the FM industry looks to acquire and integrate in their business, in the same way that CAFM and BMS are today.

LPRS are very strong in both sensor/device design and build, as well as networking capabilities (GSM/LoRa and SIGFOX); their newly formed Solutions division embed devicepoint™ as their standard IOT cloud application tier.
SPICA were an early adopter of SIGFOX in the UK, and are now very experienced with its LPWAN networking technology. We use SIGFOX in solutions such as devicepoint™ for Healthy Water, where it enables long battery life, simple installation (no gateways) and reduced cost compared to GSM.
We embed best of breed IBM middleware technology into devicepoint™ to give us Enterprise Scale at Startup speed. Software components include IBM Informix, IBM WAS, IBM Watson IOT Platform. We also host our applications in IBM Softlayer datacentres.
