Our first-ever solution Healthy Water came about from co-founder Paul Collins encountering a manual process for testing water systems for Legionella that was processed in an outdated way that could benefit from a digital software solution that would improve safety, accuracy and efficiency.

Together co-founders Tim Streather, Paul Collins, Ben Williams alongside Product Director Lynda Gillson and Client Technical Director Paul Jones have gone on to bring to market solutions like Workspace, Smart Cleaning and more.

2. Spica Technologies was acquired by Nordomatic

In 2022, Spica Technologies was acquired by Nordomatic, a leading provider of smart building solutions in the Nordic region. The acquisition has enabled Spica Technologies to leverage Nordomatic’s expertise and resources to accelerate its growth and expand its product offerings.

3. Spica is constantly evolving

Additionally, we have recently launched Yanzi Health, a new IoT sensor from the Yanzi Networks product range that offers improved accuracy and can act as a mesh node for other Yanzi sensors.  Spica is pronounced: “Spy.ka” This unique name comes from the brightest star in the constellation Virgo and reflects the company’s focus on innovation and excellence.
